Youth Tennis Summer Camp program for teens includes:
 Intensive tennis instruction and training in a Tennis School to prepare players for tennis tournaments, from 10:00 to 13:30 (Monday to Friday, 17 hours per week) with Spanish teenagers. One day per week players practice not only tennis but other sports
3 Spanish lessons per day from Monday to Friday in the afternoon (usually from 16:00 to 18:30)
Full board host family accommodation
Cultural visits in Alicante, trips and other recreational activities, where teenagers will be accompanied by a group leader
1 full day excursion per week

Intensive tennis training in a tennis school
Tennis players go every morning from Monday to Friday to the Tennis School from 10:00 to 13:30.
The central point of the “Tournament Tennis Camp for Youth Tennis Players” will be the combination of tennis training sessions, specially aimed at competition situations, with training support in national tournaments of all categories. If the players want to, they can take part in tournaments organised by some clubs of the province (Elche, Villajoyosa…) and/or they can also do it in the tennis school itself that may organise 2 or 3 tennis tournaments per month.

The “Junior Tennis Camp” is the perfect finishing for the annual programming of tennis training for an advanced level player because, for 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks, players can develop the technical and tactical tennis skills they have acquired during the year in real competition situations.
The central point of the programming of the “Youth Tennis Camp / Summer 2009“ will be the combination of tennis training sessions, specially aimed at competition situations, with training support in national tournaments of all categories.
Youth Tennis camp focused on a high frequency of tennis training sessions -5 days per week, 3 hours 30 minutes per day-, with the main goal of establishing the acquired technical skills and of developing new ones. All this is carried out by means of a methodology that has been awarded the prize for ‘the best tennis school in Spain’ twice by the Registro Profesional de Tenis.

If the youth tennis players want to, besides the intensive tennis lessons, they can take part in tennis tournaments organised by some tennis clubs and tennis schools of Alicante province (Elche, Villajoyosa…) and/or they can also do it in the tennis club itself that may organise 2 or 3 tournaments per month. Tennis trainer accompanies the trainees, if this option is chosen, and the trip to the tennis tournament is included.
In this sense, the great variety of tennis competitions in the summer calendar of the Alicante Province offers tennis players the possibility to play an official tennis tournament every week of the tennis camp.
The enrolment/registration in the tennis tournament is not included in the price of the Tennis Camp. |

The intensive tennis training lessons of the Tennis camp is complemente with a series of tennis theory lessons, alternative sports, and parallel activities integrating and perfecting the “stage” main objectives.
Physical Preparation (morning): Daily physical preparation sessions with the aim of keeping the players’ physical conditions, as well as preventing injuries and preparing tennis competitions.
Theory tennis lessons: The objective of this tennis theory lessons is to complement intense tennis training, preparing players appropriately for facing the intensive tennis training. Tennis lessons are programmed once per week, after the training session (afternoon or morning, depending on the programme) and include diverse subjects (psychology, biomechanics, tactics, and strategies). |

Zador Spanish language institute in Alicante occupies the first floor of a restored historical building, situated right in the Alicante city centre.
Alicante Spanish school is at 14, AVENIDA DE LA CONSTITUCIÓN, near the corner of the Alfonso X el Sabio Street, between the Central Marketplace and the city’s Principal Theatre.
The Spanish language centre is very well situated. It is 7-10 minutes on foot from the beach, in a very dynamic and commercial area of Alicante.

Language immersion courses for juniors and teens make use of an active, practical and communicative methodology to guarantee that youth students learn Spanish as fast and effectively as possible.
Students work on a variety of skills in the Spanish classes: Speaking and Fluency, Interaction, Listening and Reading Comprehension, Writing. However Spanish lessons have a great focus on oral skills so that students develop an ability to communicate fluently, accurately and efficiently in Spanish language.

We know youth tennis players want to play tennis and learn Spanish but we also know that there are many other things surrounding the tennis camp that are interesting for them.
Language, culture, monuments, gastronomy, the beach… After the Spanish lessons and during the weekend, all these things will make their Spanish and tennis camp the perfect language immersion in Spain.
From Monday to Friday activities take approximately from 2 hours depending on the activity. On Saturday or Sunday, the full day excursion takes approx. 8 hours.
Visit to the Santa Barbara castle in Alicante, one of the biggest medieval fortresses in Europe, Concathedral of San Nicolás, guided tour to the Archaeological Museum of Alicante (MARQ), Bonfire Museum to know more about Fiestas in Alicante, Crib Museum, amusement parks (Terra Mítica, Terra Natura, Aqualandia), excursion to Elche, Tabarca Island, Calpe or Villajoyosa, dependind on the weekend.

Living with a Spanish family is one of the best ways to get to know the country, including its culture and its people. It will also allow students to practice the Spanish language in a natural way.
The majority of the host families are near the school, around 10 or 15 minutes walking. If students live more than 20 minutes walking, we provide them with bus tickets to go to the school. All the quarters of the city are connected to the centre by urban buses running every 10-15 minutes.
The families are selected and visited regularly by our staff. In all of them, students will find a warm atmosphere that will help them get integrated into the family and city life very quickly. Families usually have children with a similar age to the students.
Students will have a single room or a twin room for friends or for two students from the same family coming together.

Alicante has excellent connections with other cities in Spain and Europe. The majority of the students arrive by plane.
The Alicante airport (El Altet) is located 11 km from Alicante and it takes about 30 min from the airport to Alicante city centre. There are domestic and international flights that connect Alicante to the main European and Spanish cities.
Transfer service from Alicante airport, bus station or train station is included in the price of Tennis camp. A representative of ZadorSpain will pick students up at the airport and bring them directly to their place of accommodation.

Junior Programmes have a moderate level of supervision and the students will be expected to act mature and responsibly as, although they are accompanied at least the first day, they will NOT be constantly supervised (walking to class, going to the summer camp, shopping…). |

Spanish and tennis lessons:
This programme is also in July and August and is intended for students between 14 and 17 years old who want to start learning to play tennis or want to have less intensive Tennis training.
They have free time every morning for shopping, going to the beach, cultural visits, going to the Spanish school to do homework…; 3 Spanish lessons in the afternoon, and at 19:00 or 19:30 (when it is not too hot), they have 1 tennis lesson per day from Monday to Friday. |
